Oxygen + C = beautiful glowing skin

If you have ever been lucky enough to visit Bliss Spa in Manhattan, and experience their spa's Triple Oxygen Treatment, you know why it is one of the most sought-after on their menu.  This is what inspired them to create an entire line of Triple Oxygen products. We’re total oxygen dev-‘o’-tees here at Lotus.  The product line up includes the face mask, eye mask and most recently, their Oxygen + C Energizing Cream.

Why? Quite simply, oxygen is necessary for proper cell metabolism—and as you age, your oxygen levels decrease drastically, which is bad news for collagen and elastin production.   The trio of products help give those levels a boost, with the result being more youthful, glowing skin.

My friend and product guru Patty Larsen recently tested the new Oxygen + C Energizing Cream, and agreed to be my "guest blogger" this month.  Enjoy, and stop in to Lotus soon to test this amazing lightweight gel-cream formula for yourself.

Bliss

By Patty Larsen

Several weeks ago, a friend gave me Bliss Triple Oxygen + C Energizing Cream. Days earlier I’d been treated to a morning of the latest Lancome offerings. I was flush with beautiful smelling samples of anti-aging elixirs and the trendiest maquillage. Choices abounded.  In fact, I had so many options, so many protocols, I was a kid in a candy store….. bliss!

Oh yeah, the Bliss. Next to the Lancome products, the scent was subtle: I hardly noticed it. My skin felt subtly plump and dewy, true, but I had a world of new colors to play with: no make-up make-up that disappeared into my skin, powdered blush that seemingly dissolved into a natural flush of rosy sweetness, lip-tingling lip plumper and metallic blue mascara.  What fun! What a fest!

I forgot about the Bliss.  For weeks I reveled in my beauty potpourri, trying product after product, switching form one new thing to the next until….my skin began to complain.  The products, themselves, were delightful, but a bit of benign neglect can go a long way in a beauty regimen.  Skin likes a rest from time to time. So I got out a micro-scrub to exfoliate and polish and then after a month of  new creams and colors, potions and lotions, I reached for the quiet jar on the shelf, the Bliss Triple Oxygen + C Energizing Cream, waiting patiently.  The cream felt familiar in my hands, it has a sort of elasticity-like the ping you feel when you pull the Saran Wrap tight against a glass bowl.  I imagined my skin responding the same way. I read about the formula and waited.

In fashion we focus on color, pattern, texture, shine and I began to think about skin in the same terms. Beautiful skin boasts a uniformity of color.  Aging skin can suffer rosacea and brown spots.  This Bliss Cream contains stable vitamin C to address discoloration.  I think of lines and broken capillaries as pattern. And believe me, here, solid is always better. Bliss added a trio of oxygenating ingredients including soy protein to improve circulation and reinforce collagen production for stronger vessels and a more comely complexion. The texture of skin speaks to its radiance. Cell turnover slows with age so complexions can look dull without help.  Bliss packs this cream with vitamins A and E and Grapeseed extract to gently speed exfoliation and present new younger cells that glow. Finally, there’s shine.  We don’t want oily, we just want dewy  and Bliss Triple Oxygen + C Cream delivers…a subtle “Score!”

And that’s the point. Like a dieter who suddenly appreciates the delicate flavors of vegetables seasoned with fresh herbs, I drank in the subtle citrus scent of this Bliss.  I watched as my skin rebounded from its new product feast and felt refreshed, rejuvenated, restored!  Of course, it won’t be my only Bliss, but this Triple Oxygen + C energizing Cream will have a permanent place on my shelf. It’s not a diva, just quiet and capable, something I’ll throw in my suitcase, something I know I can count on.
