the "anything but ordinary" bridal shower
As a prelude to one of the most exciting events this season, the wedding in November of Liebe Smith and Billy Gamble, I was honored to be a guest at Liebe’s bridal shower recently.
The party was thrown by Liebe’s mother, June Simmons, and was held at Michael’s Wine Cellar. Nothing about the evening was like any bridal shower I have ever attended, and not one detail was overlooked! I was greeted at the door with a sparkling Bellini by one of Michael’s attentive staff. After adjusting my eyes (it was 6:30 and still bright and sunny outside) I felt transported by the dark, cool room. Was I suddenly in Napa Valley? Nestled among the floor to ceiling wine bottles were twinkling votive candles, which cast a magicial glow in the dimly lit room. Gifts were piled high on a table near the bar, and guests mingled and helped themselves to delightful gourmet finger food. The best part was spending time with friends, all women, all there to wish Liebe and Billy all the happiness in the world. Billy did make a brief appearance, reluctantly, during a “how well do you know each other” game. Finally, delectable miniature deserts were served, which of course, were a sweet ending to a wonderful party.

note: Lotus was chosen, along with Madison Park on Palm Avenue, to be one of the local stores that Liebe registered with. As June and Liebe are fellow Downtown business owners, they felt strongly about “shopping locally”. We appreciate that so much!
Bridal and gift register is just one of the special services we offer at Lotus. Please contact us for more details.
